7Deadly Brewing: Lustful Lager
This was a long term, multi faceted project where I designed the logo, labels, merchandise, print materials, and website. “7Deadly Brewing” is a concept born from my love of beer, passion for branding across diverse mediums, and desire to create something unique. The ‘Lustful Lager’ is a limited edition lager my campaign means to advertise. I travelled to Seattle, Washington and after a lot of research, I found that Seattle had a busy beer scene and Pike Place was an iconic, perfect launchpad for my limited edition lager. I ended up taking this project and presenting it in New Orleans at the Pop Culture Association National Conference as part of my presentation on advertising and packaging within the beer industry. I am constantly inspired with the countless labels in beer coolers or industry giants such as Guinness who has maintained iconic branding throughout the years. I believe branding, advertising, and packaging deliver high power messages that create the experience of a product. In a world that is highly digital, I believe there will always be space for carefully crafted packaging.
7Deadly Brewing Lustful Lager: Inspired by the Seven Deadly Sins as a concept. Alcohol is poison, but we still indulge... It is a playful acknowledgment that the human condition involves us indulging in things when we know they are perhaps not 'good' for us.
7Deadly Brewing Lustful Lager Labels: These were produced in collaboration with Heidelberg in Kennesaw, GA. For this process, I learned how to get my design in a production ready format by being taught how industrial printers function.
7Deadly Brewing Magazine Ad: This magazine advertisement is based off of the utilization of print marketing by countless beer brands in the past. This ad introduces the tagline "Give in to Temptation, Give in to Craft Beer" and encourages readers to try the new Lustful Lager!
7Deadly Brewing Poster: This poster was inspired by the classic 'pin up' advertising that beer brands have done in the past. It plays on the 'angel' and 'devil' on each shoulder idea with beer on both sides while our subject contemplates whether to give in to craft beer.
7Deadly Brewing Shirt: I personally adore shirts from iconic brands so I created one. I have a one of one, physical 7Deadly Brewing shirt!
7Deadly Brewing Mailer: This piece utilizes some light lifestyle photography. I want my viewers to see themselves having a 'Cheers' moment with my brand while still centering the beer itself.
7Deadly Brewing Mailer: This mailer emphasizes lifestyle photography more than the last mailer while also appealing to an overlooked target audience of beer: women. Women like beer just as much as men and yet are often ignored as potential buyers. 7Deadly Brewing brings all people together in the enjoyment of craft beer, not just men.
7Deadly Brewing Coasters: I created these coasters with a laser cutter at Kennesaw State University. If I was going to dream of a beer brand, I needed something to put the beer on!
